Gordon Gauthier, BA, MPsy
Contract Counsellor

Prior to moving to Ottawa from the West Coast, Gord worked as a volunteer counsellor with Nanaimo Family Life Services and the Nanaimo Men’s Resource Centre. His life experiences include careers in the military and as a paramedic.

Gord completed his masters in applied psychology, counselling, at Campus Alberta Applied Psychology (a tripartite consisting of the Universities of Athabasca, Calgary, and Lethbridge). He is also a certified clinical hypnotherapist.

He currently facilitates a Men and Healing Phase II group, and co-facilitates the Therapeutic Fathering group, and the Mental Health Group which is offered in parternship with CMHA Ottawa. Gord is experienced in working from person centred, solution focused, cognitive/mindfulness, and multimodal models. His interests include trauma, relationship counselling, Native spirituality, men’s/fathering issues, experiential group work, and stress.
